Once again South of Heaven Ltd and our partners MFP Owners Club and The Dunolly Vehicle Club will be hosting a Weekend with Hooks on 29 and 30 September 2023 at the Maryborough Harness Racing Club. There will be a huge line up of live entertainment and the appearance from the man himself, Roger Ward who played Hooks in the movie Stone and Fifi in Mad Max. As always, we encourage Cosplay celebrating movies like Stone, Mad Max, Running on Empty and other iconic Australian films. The Rock God himself, Les Toth will be once again MC. Camping is complementary and gates open at 12pm on Friday with entertainment until late. Saturday 7:30am will see us assemble on the trotting track and a procession lead by the classic Z900 motorcycles begins its journey into Clunes to pay tribute to Toad aka The Toecutter. Non- stop music will start around 10am on Saturday and go until late. We will have a Tug-a-War (MFP v Toecutter’s Gang), a car show, a motorcycle show’n’shine and much more. So far, we have a huge line up of band supporting our local music industry: No Exit (The Angles tribute band) Whole Lotta Rosie (AC/DC tribute band) Black Aces Devils Brew Last Stand The Groove Dudes Salty Dogs Nat Allison Mikayla Burke Matt Schlam. Vincent Gil Fan Memorial Ride & Drive , Assemble Maryborough trotting track 7:30 am for a 8am departure Z Owners round tank will lead the way followed by Mad Max vehicles then general public procession into clunes , farewell speeches in clunes . Obviously this is a public event / No cost to participate .
